Thought of the Month
Sometimes life can feel monotonous, like we are stuck in a routine or pattern. Maybe it's work, school, or just doing the dishes. When we see our lives as a drag, like a showreel repeating itself over and over again, it can seem hopeless.
This verse, however, presents the routines of life in a different frame. It is found at the end of a promise from God to Noah after the flood and it shows us that they are a gift from God instead of mundane daily practices. That we are blessed with consistency instead of chaos. That God has removed the chaos and unrest from before the flood and instead given us consistency and, as a result, peace. Imagine If this verse wasn’t true. There would be day without night, winter without summer. It would be total chaos.
But instead, we can look to God, who took the chaos of the world and made peace.
Consistently. Everyday.
Who’s to say He can’t do that for you in your life?
